Verification & account

Payment method policy

Your Traderscale profile, your account, the payment method you buy with, your identity documents and your payout method must all be in the same legal name. Payments from anyone else are prohibited, including from family and as gifts.

Everything must match

All of these must be in the same person's legal name:

  • your Traderscale profile;
  • your evaluation or funded account;
  • the card, bank account or wallet used to buy it;
  • the identity documents you submit at verification; and
  • the payout method you receive profit through.

You may be asked for documents proving you own the payment method.

One payment method, one name

A payment method must not be used across accounts registered in different names. If the same card, bank account, wallet, payment token or payment fingerprint is found across accounts in different names, all of those accounts are deactivated straight away while compliance reviews them.

Using one payment method across your own accounts is fine, as long as they are all in your name and you are within the $600,000 capital limit.

Why the policy exists

It supports identity verification, payment security, fraud prevention and anti-money-laundering (AML) controls. It prevents account sharing, purchases on behalf of other people and payment disputes.

A successful payment is not approval

Payments are processed automatically by third-party providers. A payment going through does not mean it passed compliance checks, and it does not guarantee a future payout. Payment ownership can be reviewed at any stage: purchase, verification, trading, payout or later.

Before you buy

Confirm that your Traderscale account is in your own legal name, that the payment method belongs to you, that you are not buying for someone else and that nobody else is authorised to use your payment method.

If a third-party payment has already happened, contact support before you request a payout. Raising it yourself is far better than it surfacing at review.
