Can I hold trades over the weekend?

All accounts

Yes, if your account has the Weekend Holding add-on. Without it, open positions close automatically at 20:30 UTC before the weekend and weekend-open markets cannot be traded.

With the add-on

Positions can stay open over the weekend.
You can trade markets that stay open at the weekend, such as crypto.

Without the add-on

Open positions close automatically at 20:30 UTC before the weekend.
Nothing carries into the following week.
Weekend-open markets cannot be traded.

My trade closed even though I have the add-on

First check that the add-on is attached to that specific account, not another one. Support can then check the instrument's closing time, whether a different rule closed the trade and your account status.
