MT5 login troubleshooting
Most MT5 login problems come down to the wrong server, a pasted password with a stray space, or the investor password being used instead of the main trading password. Work through the checks below in order.
Work through these in order
- Select the exact Traderscale server named in your credentials, not a similar one from the broker list.
- Type your account number and password by hand rather than pasting them.
- Remove any spaces before or after the password.
- Check similar-looking characters: O and 0, I, l and 1.
- Close and reopen MT5 after changing anything.
- Make sure you are using the main trading password. The investor password shows the account but cannot place orders.
- Check that the account is not read-only. Why is my account read-only?
Logged in but cannot see or trade a symbol?
Funded accounts trade symbols with a lowercase c suffix, such as EURUSDc, GBPUSDc and XAUUSDc. The unsuffixed symbol may appear in Market Watch but cannot be traded on a funded account.
Open Market Watch → Show All, or search for the suffixed symbol, and confirm you are logged in to the funded server.
Still stuck?
Send support your registered email address, account number, the exact platform error and a screenshot. Your MT5 credentials are in your Trader Area under Accounts Overview. Password changes inside MT5 are disabled; contact support to request a change. Changes made by support appear in the Trader Area. Where to find your login details
