Trading rules
Hedge trading
You may not hold a buy and a sell on the same instrument at the same time, including across separate Traderscale accounts, where the effect is to cancel out your exposure or exploit pricing.
Example of a breach
| Time | Account | Trade |
|---|---|---|
| 14:00 | Account A | Buy XAUUSD 2.0 lots |
| 14:02 | Account B | Sell XAUUSD 2.0 lots |
Net exposure is zero. Whichever way price moves, one account books a gain and the other a loss. Splitting the hedge across two accounts does not change the finding.
The positions were opened minutes apart, not at the same time
The review looks at overlap, purpose, timing, instrument and activity across your accounts. It is not limited to positions opened in the same second.
What is reviewed
Direction, entry and close times, overlap, exposure and activity across all your accounts.
Possible outcome
Profit adjustment, payout rejection or account breach.

On funded accounts, this practice can cause an automatic account breach. The prohibition also applies during evaluation. Detection may miss a position or sequence, and all rules are checked again at payout review. The absence of an alert is not permission to trade.
