Troubleshooting

Why was my account breached?

A breach means your equity crossed a daily or maximum drawdown level, or an applicable prohibited practice caused an automatic breach or was confirmed at payout review. The account becomes inactive, its profit is forfeited and it can no longer receive payouts.

The usual cause: equity, not balance

Breach checks use equity, which is your balance plus the floating result of open positions. Your closed balance can look fine while an open trade takes equity through the level.

Spread widening, slippage, swaps and rollover conditions all move equity. A stop loss placed above the breach level does not guarantee equity never crosses it before or during execution. Why did my stop loss trigger early?

Check both levels in your Trader Area Metrics: the daily level (resets at 21:00 UTC) and the maximum level (never resets; static at 90% of the starting balance on Pro). Understanding your Trader Area

Soft breach versus breach

What happens
Soft breachThe affected position is closed, for example because it had no stop loss. The account usually continues
BreachThe account is marked inactive, profit is forfeited and no further payouts are possible

On every account type, persistent trading without a stop loss is penalised. For an isolated case, the affected P&L is deducted from the payout share. When must I add a stop loss?

Can I withdraw profit after a breach?

No. On a confirmed breach, accumulated profit is forfeited and the account is no longer eligible for payouts.

If you believe the breach was wrong

Send support your registered email address, account number and type, the breach notice, screenshots of Accounts Overview and Metrics, a platform screenshot showing balance, equity and open positions, any relevant ticket numbers and the approximate date and time.

Support can submit eligible cases to the Dealing Team (the independent team that reviews trading). A confirmed breach is not reversed without new verified information.

Automatic enforcement and later review

On funded accounts, the system can automatically breach an account for prohibited adding in drawdown, exceeding the permitted risk allowance, martingale and hedging. The programme and cross-account exceptions still apply. These trading rules also apply during evaluations. Every applicable rule is checked at payout review, whether or not the system has already acted. An absence of alerts does not confirm compliance or payout approval.
